Sharifah Amani is Not Gabra
I just met Dr.Farouk, one of the 'hardest' lecturer in our department. Probably, he is the one who made me extent my study. I have to repeat EVERY class he teach, and in every class I was the center of his attention, well mostly. He never forget to ask me if I have quit smoking, and every time I replied "I'm getting to it" - which was a total bullshit. He is an Egyptian with German citizenship, a (self-claimed) prominent scientist in Germany. Rumour has it (and I kinda see it) that he has a bad relationship with other lecturers because of his 'arrogant' words and outspoken attitude. Anyway, I don't hold any grudge against him. He asked about my update, and I told him what he NEED to know, and he also asked about me quitting smoking, again.

SUCCESSFUL PARTNERSHIP: Sharifah (left) and Yasmin posing with their awards for Gubra during the film festival Sunday night.
On my way back from Bekelah, the bus played the live telecast of 19th Festival Filem Malaysia from Suria FM. Since I couldn't sleep, I thought it didn't hurt to enjoy the telecast. The 'outcast' director Yasmin Ahmad's romantic flick Gubra won the best picture, and the leading actress of that movie, Sharifah Aleya Amani, won the best actress award (at 20 she's the youngest so far). Yesterday, the papers made a big hype about her indiscrete english speech, with Datuk Dr. Rais Yatim (a minister, or whatever), and some publicity-whore artistes join the Aleya-bashing wagon. Not that I care (I had develop a despise of Malay movies a long time ago), but for God's sake, she's still 20 and at that age, she speaks what's on her mind, spontaneously and unfiltered. With life experience of only 20 years, it's unfair to judge her as loud-discourteous-American-freedom-of-speech-feminist girl. And she's only an actress, not a rocket scientist. Give her a break! Let's celebrate her, and stop hating. And I must say, WHAT AN UGLY AWARD! Whatever-lah, majulah seni untuk negara!

Anyway, I'm trying to follow the advice from Kevin to eat 5-6 times a day. At first, I'm shocked. What pig eats 6 times a day. Most of the day, I ate once in the noom and once for dinner, and I'm full. But I have to admit that I'm kinda underweight (180cm 70kg), so I thought I should try this diet. Its kinda hard at first to stuff food to your face every 2 hours but I think that my body started to adapt. We'll see in a month what will happen.
