| vs Fulham 5-1 |
The season had begun, and several teams had made thier marks. Liverpool won over Chelsea in Charity Shield, to highlight the warning, Liverpool is a force to reckon with. After the rude awakening, Chelsea trash Manchester City 3-0. So can Manchester United do the same?
Manchester utd kick-off the season with a BIG-BANG, by trashing Fulham 5-1. Before the game, many fan were worried how the central attacking engine, Rooney and Ronaldo, will fare after the ugly 06 world cup quater-final incident where Ronaldo interference resulting Rooney's red card. However, both superstars had proven that club comes first, taking away their differences, and blasting the Fulham's turf with tries after tries. Saha blast trough Fulham's virgin goal 7 minutes after the kick-off. 8 minutes after that, Fulham's defender, Pearce scored an own goal while trying to block Rooney from making a challange. A minute later, Rooney blast through the net with a rebound ball. And 3 minutes later, proving that no bitter among them, Rooney supplied a crossing ball to Ronaldo, resulting his first goal for the season. However, a try from Heider Helguson from the edge of the box, which struck Ferdinand's face and ricocheted out of van der Sar's reach, give Fulham a ray of hope for the game. Rooney, again blasted a powerful floor ball on minute 64, and concluded the game's goal list.
In the second half, Michael Brown who dastardly offer the shoe studs to Ryan Giggs thigh was presented with the game's first yellow card. Giggs who was still unforgiven Brown, pushed him in a challange where he later was given a yellow card. The game's also witnessed the comeback game for babyfaced Solskjaer after a long rest following a nasty leg injury. Alan Smith was seen at the bench, hopefully he will played really soon. A visibally thin Rooney will not played in the next game along with Scholes following their 3 game ban.

It was the first time I see the new home kit for Manchester utd team. Since the AIG logo has a very old fashion look on it, the design of the shirts took the same turn. After long years coupling reds and blacks into the shirt's design, the new kit seems to experimenting with reds and whites. However, it's Fulham's new kit that I think the most improved.
