John Tucker Must WHAT?

Like 2 days ago, after buka, I had nothing to do, so I watched John Tucker Must Die. The dvd was there in my plastic file case for the longest time, and I couldn't watch it since a) I had no time; b)I had no computer; and c) I totally forgot about it. I watched it in Johan's pc by the way.

I think the story is so stereotyped and familiar. Oh wait, it's a chick flick, it revolved around a same topic over and over again. However the incentive of watching this movie is there are like 4 leading ladies in the movie, an Kelly Clarkson-ish unknown actress playing Kate, Ashanti playing cheerleader version of Mariah Carey, Sophia Bush (from One Tree Hill) playing slutty Beth, and that girl in American Pie:Band Camp played over-achiever Carrie. The alpha male for this movie is none other than Desperate Housewives gardener-man-whore Jesse Metcalfe playing deem to be murdered (socially) John Tucker.

The plot is wafer thin simple. John is the all around popular guy, basketball team captain, a rich kid, and even kinda good looking with those annoyingly waxed eyebrows of him. He ingeniously dated 3 popular girls who come from different herd (read: clique) simultenously, Heather from the cheerleading clan, Beth from the slutty/vegan tribe and Carrie from the valedictorian kindred. All hell break loose when those girls realised that they were 3-timed by the adonis thanks to socially invisible new comer Kate. So the girls banded together to soil John's reputation and break his heart.

The movie is ok, with decent acting and all. But I think this movie is meant for teenage girls and gay men as the only one who get naked in this movie is Jesse. Bummer.

And the ending is very, "huh?". Watch it if you have gay tendercies or you are forced by your gf.
